Since Luke asked...

Dad hadnt taken out the trash papers yet, so I could still scan it. In other news,, I finally have all 5 of the William Hope Hodgson books. Has anyone seen a film called Lemora? It really is quite different and although people often mention the low budget,, I think it is one of the better looking horror films I have seen,,, even the weird((Bad?)) acting is quite spooky.

Wellit looses a bit in the reduced size, but it still looks really good to me, in fact a thousand fold better than the other fan art. (Granted those dudes are probably still in their teens, and that Man-Thing isn't too bad.)

It intrigues me that where they otherwise fill that page with the traditional fan art, they chose to show your completely original and powerful work. How did you get involved in this, if you don't mind my asking?

It's great. I imagine at least a couple of would-be comic artist kids in the middle of nowhere, maybe a bit bored with generic mainstream stuff, saw that and had their horizons widened a bit.

Lemora, in full

You just email your art to them,, strangely this issue does not have the adress which was fantastic@previewsworld.com, include your name, city, country, email, website and the comic shop you go to.

It's a shame Lemora was the only film that guy ever directed((he did a few little other things like scripts)). The initial screenings and reviews were disastrous, but it ended up as a classic. The girl is 18 but she doesent look it, notice that the director is an actor in the film who gets to kiss her. It is a little strange when a director casts a girl knowing he is going to do something like that with her,, I imagine the film got some criticism for that, because most people would think she is just a kid.

I don't think most people would view kissing a girl in a movie as some kind of massive prize, Robert.

I know,, but directors often get called sleazy if they cast themselves as the kisser of the starlet.

Didn't David Lynch do that in an episode of Twin Peaks?
