Ha! I found my 2 oldest inks

These are the first inks I ever made. I think they're around 6-7 years old. I know there should be a third one but I can't find it. Anyway it's kinda fun looking at them now. If memory serves, when i did those I was very into oils and photo shop at the time. I would have never guessed I would end up doing ink.

Intriguing imagery, it contains that meshing of the figure, ornamentation and architecture that your newer work has.

I hear you on the architecture, some of the first things I used to draw were like buildings and cityscapes. That's probably where it comes from.

Given your propensity towards inks, a technique you might experiment with is wax. It's been a long time since I've used the medium but it had something to do with running wax sticks over paper like pencils, then working ink over it. The ink doesn't absorb into the wax, letting that become the white areas of the composition. It could be a confusing technique as the initial image would probably be white against white, but a light pencil sketch could help.

Good inks. I used this wax and ink technique Aeron mentioned: it's surprising.
